KORNEL is one of the pioneering companies in Greece in the construction of exhibition stands and the organisation of exhibitions. It was founded in 1960 by Kornilios Kyriakidis and is today run by the third generation of the family.

History

Milestones

Sixty-eight years of work, from the first workshop in Chalkida to international exhibitions.
  1. 1960
    The company is founded by Kornilios Kyriakidis.
  2. 1980s
    Construction of exhibition stands all over the world for the Chamber of Industry, the Hellenic Foreign Trade Board (O.P.E.) and the Ministry of Commerce, as well as the construction of stands at the Thessaloniki International Fair.
  3. 1990s
    Exclusive constructor of the exhibition structures at the Athens Exhibition Centre (Ideal Home, Food & Beverage, Xenia, ART, Packaging) and constructions at the Zappeion, EKEP and the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
  4. 1997
    World Championships in Athletics — market street.
  5. 2003
    EXPOWORK is founded as the technical and construction company of the Expoathens exhibition centre. KORNEL participates as a principal shareholder with 50%.
  6. 2004
    Athens Olympic Games: KORNEL undertakes the German pavilion in Maroussi.
  7. 2009
    EXPOWORK takes over the management of the Metropolitan Expo exhibition centre.
  8. 2014
    KORNEL continues independently, constructing exhibition stands and conferences.
  9. 2022
    Construction of the NATO stands at the Avlonas camp.
  10. 2024
    Hellenic Navy stand at Posidonia and BAYER stand at the Thessaloniki International Fair.
  11. 2026
    Seascape stand at Posidonia 2026.
